Antique Cast Iron Clock Antique cast iron mantel clock featuring an ornate shaped case with scrolling feet and extensive gilt floral, foliate, and figural decoration over a dark finish. The front is accented with a floral basket motif incorporating colorful shell or mother-of-pearl inlay. Features a round white dial with Roman numeral hour markers, decorative metal bezel, and a lower circular pendulum viewing window. Includes a winding key. Measures approximately 18" W x 20" H x 3" D. Condition Report: Antique condition with significant age-related wear throughout. The painted and gilt decoration exhibits substantial fading, rubbing, finish loss, scratches, scuffs, and discoloration. Scattered oxidation and surface wear are present to the cast iron case, with additional wear around the feet, edges, and raised decoration. Mother-of-pearl/shell accents show age-related wear and possible minor losses. Back of case has scratches, finish loss, and general wear. Clock mechanism and timekeeping accuracy have not been tested and working condition is unknown. Key is included. Please review photos closely for additional condition details.
