Carved Alabaster Lamp

Carved Alabaster Lamp Decorative carved alabaster table lamp featuring a translucent urn-form body raised on a shaped pedestal base. The alabaster displays attractive natural veining throughout, with delicate carved and incised decoration including bows, floral motifs, and swag-like elements around the body. When illuminated, the stone produces a soft, warm glow that highlights the natural variations in the alabaster. The lamp has been rewired. Measures approximately 12.5" tall. Condition Report Good overall vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The alabaster exhibits natural veining, color variation, and areas of discoloration throughout. There are scattered surface scratches, scuffs, small nicks, and minor edge wear, particularly around the base. Some accumulated dirt and residue are present in recessed areas. Minor oxidation is visible around the wiring opening on the underside. The lamp has been rewired with a newer electrical cord. No obvious major breaks or large losses observed.
