Vintage Drexel hand-painted black lacquer Chinoiserie coffee table featuring an elaborate Asian-inspired landscape scene beneath a glass top. The decorative panel depicts figures, architecture, birds, foliage, and mountainous scenery rendered in gold and muted accent colors against the black ground. The table is further detailed with gold-tone trim, painted leaf motifs along the apron, carved geometric decoration, and tapered square legs with coordinating gilt accents. The glass top protects the decorative surface while allowing the hand-painted scene to remain fully visible. A highly decorative accent table with strong Chinoiserie styling that would work well in a living room, sitting room, or eclectic interior.
