Sue Kendell Thompson Patsel Nude 1989

Original pastel on paper by New York artist Sue Kendall Thompson (1927–2009), signed and dated 3/89 lower left. The work depicts a seated nude woman in a red chair, rendered in a soft yet confident hand with attention to light and figure form. Presented in its vintage frame with linen liner. Dimensions: 29" × 25" (framed) Condition: Very good overall. Artwork shows vibrant color with only minor age-related wear; frame has light surface wear consistent with age. Artist Note: Sue Kendall Thompson was a prolific Binghamton, NY–based painter and art instructor. She exhibited widely in upstate New York, taught in the Binghamton City School District, and was a member of the Pastel Society of America and regional art guilds.
